This all started years ago with my YouTube Channel. I was starting my soap company on a commercial scale-you know, doing more than weekend vendor fairs-and I wanted to share my craft with others. I had terrible skin with constant itching and rash breakouts. After several years using steroid creams and other prescription medications, I discovered the power of good, clean, soap. Sounds crazy, right? There is a monumental difference between the soap you buy at the store and the old fashioned soap granny used to make.
But I digress. It’s March 2020 and the world has gone to hell and in a hand basket. People are frightened, they’re worried, and our economy is kind of flapping in the breeze right now. At the beginning of the year, things were booming. My 401k looked great. Now…not so much.
But I want to reassure people that the one thing you don’t have to do is starve. While our YouTube Channel has been all about soaps, lotions, and the like, we’re changing it up to more of a DIY channel. I want to help people the best way I know how.
I grew up on a 85 acre farm. Some of my favorite memories is sitting with my grandma snapping 5 gallon buckets of beans while watching Wheel of Fortune. Well, she watched. I was a bit too young to understand how it worked. Moving along…
The most valuable lesson I learned was how to respect the earth. I had so much energy back then and one of the reason why was my diet. When you have a bountiful supply of fruits and veggies to eat all day and all night, your body is getting all of the nutrients it needs. I think we’ve evolved over the years to just grab what’s easy. This is not really a healthy way to live. It seems like healthier options are always so expensive, which means we wound up eating a lot of pasta, bread…you know, cheap shit that fills you up.
I could go on and on but it’s time for me to get back to the basics, and a heather lifestyle, and I’m going to take you with me on this journey.
